ACCRA TZ5 and TZ6 shafts are the newest in a broad line-up of shafts from ACCRA Golf. The cool thing about these shafts is that they tend to perform differently, especially the TZ6, from the lighter weights to the heavier weights. (See the Golf Digest article here). Since the introduction of these shafts in late 2018, there has been some riveting success on the PGA Tour from players like Cameron Champ, Jason Day and Pat Perez. Here is a quick summary:
TZ5 60 - 90 gram driver/fairway shafts Low-Mid Trajectory, Low-Mid Spin
TZ6 50 - 80 gram driver/fairway shafts Mid to Mid-High Trajectory, Mid to Mid-High Spin.
We see the TZ6 as the best option for all players with the TZ5 appealing to stronger players with aggressive swings and swing speeds over 110 mph.
As usual, these shafts are only available through authorized dealers and will not be seen in OEM clubs.
